Utos ng Ombudsman, natanggap na ng OVP

𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗭𝘆𝗿𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗧. 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗼𝘀𝗮, 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗛

Nito lamang Biyernes ng umaga, kinumpirma ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) na nakarating na ang kautusang inihayag ng Office of the Ombudsman kay VP Sara Duterte, kabilang na ang iba pang mga opisyal, na tumugon sa mga reklamong isinampa ng House of Representatives tungkol sa umano’y pag-aabuso nito sa mga confidential funds.

"The [OVP] confirms receipt of the order issued by the Office of the Ombudsman at approximately 9 a.m. today [June 20],” pahayag ng OVP. Dagdag pa rito, bibigyan lamang ang Bise-presidente at ang siyam pang ibang opisyal mula sa OVP at Department of Education (DepEd) ng sampung araw sa pagsumite ng kani-kanilang counter-affidavits.

Sa oras na hindi nila maipasa ang kanilang mga affidavit, ituturing ito ng Ombudsman na pagtalikod sa kanilang karapatang magsumite ng counter-evidence, at magpapatuloy pa rin ang preliminary investigation nang hindi na isasaalang-alang pa ang kanilang panig.

Samantala, iniulat naman ng OVP na nasa personal trip sa Australia ang Bise-presidente at inaasahang dadalo ito sa isang kilos protestang nananawagan para sa paglaya ng kaniyang amang si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na kasalukuyang nakakulong sa International Criminal Court (ICC) sa The Hague, Netherlands.
