The Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation, Larry Gadon, has vowed to volunteer as a "referee" in a fistfight match between PNP Chief Nicolas Torre and Acting Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte.
Gadon said he is willing to be the referee of the match, as he is worried that Torre will inflict injury on the acting mayor, according to his statement in a video clip sent to the media.
I am worried that General Torre might inflict a catastrophic injury on Baste,” he said.
He also added that General Torre drinks coffee to be stronger and more active, citing that the General could badly hurt Baste, as he will be too "carried away."
Gadon further reiterated that the match is only a charity fight, and thus there should be no any "serious injuries."
Baste Duterte has once challenged the PNP General to have a fistfight.
Torre accepted the challenge and urged Duterte to make it into a charity fight, whose proceeds would then go to the victims of the ongoing weather crisis in the country.
