After a wild altercation, a 40-year-old man from Talisay City, Negros Occidental was shot dead by his friend over P1,500 unpaid debt on Wednesday, July 16.
Police Lt. Col. Alvin Christopher Baybayan, Talisay City police chief, said that both the victim and the suspect were seen each other in the area.
The victim reminded the suspect's unpaid debt, that resulted into the suspect shooting the victim in the chest by an unlicensed homemade revolver with 9 mm bullets.
The suspect, accompanied with his wife, surrendered just a day after on Thursday, July 17.
On an interview on Thursday, Baybayan said they were able to convince the suspect to surrender and face his case.
Murder charges are being readied against the suspect.
