ZAMBOANGA CITY – Three members of the Philippine Air Force were arrested for alleged illegal discharge of firearms here last Thursday, July 31.
Three Philippine Air Force personnel were arrested for allegedly discharging weapons in Zamboanga City on July 31st in Barangay Quiniput.
Officials responded by 8:52 p.m. after reports of gunfire in the area.
A joint operation between the barangay and police started in a chase that ended with the suspects being caught.
The suspects were caught whilst advancing through the Quiniput Highway.
Afterwards, authorities recovered four firearms and two empty shells from the scene.
The current investigation reveals that the suspects were intoxicated during the incident.
All three are in police custody and are facing appropriate charges.
