This was the statement of Senator Sherwin Gatchalian following the enactment of the E-Governance Act, a law mandating digitalization of government processes.
In a press release issued by the Senate today, September 12, Gathalian, who co-authored the law, said that the law will enhance efficiency in public service delivery by removing the necessity for in-person travel and manual procedures.
“The law will enhance efficiency in the delivery of public services, as it would eliminate the need for physical travel and manual processing.
He also said that the measure aims to curb corruption by ensuring that projects are carried out with transparency.
