Not everyone reads the news. Some find it boring, others find it confusing. But one page changed how I looked at it. Explained PH helped me understand things that school or media couldn't fully explain. That's where it all started for me.
I began writing in Grade 6. I started with news, just testing the waters. Later on, I became a columnist. Since then, I've continued writing. Now that I'm in Grade 9, I write with more reason, more voice, and more purpose. One of those reasons is Explained PH.
They don't just say what happened. They explain why it matters.
They talk about real issues like government, education, and human rights in a way that's honest and clear. No deep words.
No long speeches. Just facts, stories, and straight-to-the-point messages.
That's the kind of writing I want to do.
Being a columnist is not just about sharing your thoughts. It's about helping others understand. It's about writing for people who often feel unheard. It's about making others care, not just giving them information.
Explained PH reminded me that writing is a form of service. A single post can open someone's eyes. One paragraph can spark action. That's the kind of impact I try to make every time I write.
I know I am still young. I know my voice may not be loud. But because of platforms like Explained PH, I believe small voices can still speak the truth.
In a world full of fake news and loud opinions, maybe what we lead most are young writers who choose to explain things clearly, simply and bravery.
