During the recent series of heavy rains brought by Tropical Storm Isang and southwest monsoon, a total of over 8,600 families or 36,000 individuals from different regions in the Philippines were affected based on the data of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The DSWD released P2.2 million worth of food and non-food assistance for the affected residents.
They also assured that there are still more than enough supplies of goods that can be given to the affected individuals.
She further reassured that there are still 2.1 billion pesos worth of reserves including the standby funds.
Moreover, Dumlao added that the DSWD continues to maintain the three million national stockpile as the family food packs production still continues in the major hubs particularly in National Resource Center in Pasay City as well as the Visayas Disaster Response Center in Cebu City.
