Both the La Mesa and the Wawa dams have now reached their spilling level and thus, the residents are now being told to stay alert for potential flooding.
La Mesa Dam overflowed, exceeding its 80.15-meter spilling level, reaching 80.16 meters.
Wawa Dam also overflowed, reaching its 135.58-meter spilling level (135 meters).
Low-lying areas along the Tullahan River and watercourses including Marikina, Pasig, and San Juan Rivers are at risk of flooding.
Flooding is imminent in these areas because of impounding water.
Meanwhile, PAGASA reports heavy rains are still expected in Metro Manila and surrounding areas until Tuesday noon due to the southwest monsoon.
The weather bureau is also closely monitoring two LPAs (Low Pressure Area) inside the PAR (Philippine Area of Responsibility).
These weather systems have a moderate chance or possibility of becoming a typhoon within the next 24 hours.
