A Philippine Airlines (PAL) Airbus A321 flight bound for Osaka, Japan, made an emergency return to Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) after encountering a cabin pressurization issue mid-flight.
All 191 passengers and eight crew members disembarked safely.
The incident occurred roughly 40 minutes into the flight, at around 10:08 a.m., prompting the crew to descend to a safer altitude and declare an emergency as per standard safety protocols.
Once the issue was resolved, the aircraft returned and landed safely at approximately 11:20 a.m.
PAL confirmed that its ground team is providing affected passengers with full assistance, including meals, baggage support, and rebooking arrangements.
Safety remains a top priority for the airline, and officials are coordinating with relevant authorities to assess the incident and ensure no similar issues arise in future flights.
