I believe that whatever you stand for ends up getting back to you; Charlie Kirk took it to the neck, personally and literally.
It’s not that I’m saying that he deserved to get shot; I’m stating that it was ironic how he preached artillery and chaos when he got shot in the middle of a debate, while the topic revolved around gun violence. Aside from his oblivious comments, he was still human—I can’t disagree, nor should I lower my eyes. However, one thing remains unambiguous: he was a vile man, born from the hands of hate and spite itself, building a machine of pandemonium inside Pandora's box.
Let me make this crystal clear: no person should ever have to die in front of a crowd, with their family, friends, and loved ones. The man was a father after all, but he was one hell of a hypocritical, racist, sexist, misogynistic, and undeniable rage-baiting genius. His two children and his wife watched as a bullet entered his neck, blood gushing out of his entry point, and his body fell bloody on the stage that he was standing on. I mourn the loss of a father, but never will I mourn his irritatingly ignorant views on human rights.
Setting aside the human aspect of this situation, he wasn’t a morally fit—should I say morally active—person. He portrays empathy as a new personality trait of the latest generation, which is, quote on quote, “sensitive.” He was always preaching the removal of immigrants, the removal of women’s reproductive rights, gun freedom, and many other disgusting opinions that I can’t seem to fathom. He even said so himself that he would rather let his daughter die than get an abortion, and for what? Just for a moral debate certificate that reads “Best dad, in another realm?”
While showing up to many debate shows, he still manages to cut off every opponent whenever it isn’t his time to speak. He smiles to make the other party uncomfortable, and it genuinely has a mix of Pennywise and Trump. He makes comments and arguments that have no clear correlation to the topic just to win, and it puzzles and amazes me how such a daft person can do that. It’s almost as if he mastered the art of pissing off an entire population whose belief system relies on actual rights, ethics, codes, and moral rules.
Do I believe that he deserved to be shot neck-first in front of thousands of citizens? No. Do I believe that he deserved to die? No. Do I believe that his family should grow apart from him? No. Do I believe that he got what he deserved? Absolutely. I may not be much of a religious person myself, but I wish him whatever mercy that he could gather from Jesus, because his version of Jesus is definitely not the socialist one I know.
Maybe he could’ve dodged a bullet if he hadn’t dodged statistics and moral laws.
