There is yet to be evidence regarding the connection between the bones retrieved from the Taal lake and the case of the missing sabungeros, local police have said.
"Hindi po namin masasabi na connected po sa incident po na yun (missing sabungeros) sa amin po dito sa San Jose Del Monte magdedepend po yung later on ang investigation namin sa magiging result po ng crime laboratory namin," Police Lt. Col. Reyson Bagain said.
Bagain stated that a daycare caretaker had found the skulls and were said to have been cleaned, based on photographs taken.
"Opo naka-box po siya na naka-seal nakita po ng isang daycare caretaker kaya na-discover yung mga skull na po yun. Malinis po yung mga skull na mga naiwan dun malilinis na po base doon sa picture atsaka doon sa physical na nakita namin," Bagain noted.
The bones are now being sent for forensic analysis.
Bagain advises the public to be patient as further information will be disclosed after examination, and that they were also trying to identify the bones immediately.
